Well that's enough of that

Hello awesome people!

I finally made it to my destination. A day late and several dollars short, but it's done.

Thursday's meal, while delicious, was poisonous. I came down with a nasty bout of food poisoning, and it delayed things by a bit. Yesterday I spent the entire day not being able to keep water down, and sleeping an hour at a time. The weather here cleared up though, which is nice.

DO NOT RECOMMEND

Another HUGE thank you to Sasha for doing the booking and re-arranging all my travel. Not having to deal with all that let me focus only on getting better and getting the drive done. She really is my own personal hero.

Today was filled with stress for a few reasons. Lemme 'splain:

  • I had a pretty fitful night of sleep, and I wasn't sure if my boring breakfast of plain omelette with white toast would do me the kindness of staying in my body.
  • I hadn't heard from the moving helper guys until well after I started my trip. Because I'm using my phone for nav and audiobooks, it is really hard to talk (no bluetooth or anything).
  • Speaking of nav, Google Maps took me down a gravel road to a dead end on some random person's property.
There was some serious stress reducers though, which was excellent:
  • Sasha handled the travel and hotel arrangements. I said this already but I can't explain how much it reduces my stress.
  • (This is my favorite) When I was on that gravel road, some random dude heard me struggling to turn the big-ass truck to get off the road, some random dude with a bow and quiver shows up to help me.
  • The movers were late on their previous job, but still showed up at 8pm to unload the truck.
While I'm glad the hard part is done, it was a really fun experience. I'm sore, and the dehydration from the plague is causing me to cramp everywhere. I honestly didn't think you could get a cramp in that many different muscles at once.

Ok, I might be totally out of shape and probably have a potassium deficiency but I'm going to blame it on the food poisoning. Which, by the way I think was caused by the collared greens. See? My body wants me to eat more junk food! Stupid vegetables.

I'm really looking forward to sleeping right now, so I'm signing off.

Thanks for stopping by!
