Well that was a long drive indeed.
I left the hotel at around 9:00 this morning (Mountain time) and I got to Conway, AR right about at 9:00 PM (Central). So with the stops and fueling up, it's really 10ish hours of drive time.
I swear by audiobooks. The drive is monotonous, but certainly requires fairly constant attention. A book (currently Wheel of Time book 2) being read by fantastic voice actors (Michael Kramer & Kate Reading) makes the drive much easier for me. Sometimes my concentration takes me from the book, or my mind wanders so it takes me a few repeats occasionally.
I had an Old Fashioned at the bar as soon as I got settled in the room with my CPAP set up, and now I'm done for the night.
One more day to get me to West Virginia near the storage facility.
I hope everyone had a good Christmas, and am looking forward to heading back to our for-now-house, I miss Sasha and the kitties. It doesn't really feel like the holidays to me, because of all this craziness. I have a feeling next Christmas is going to be a bit more chill :)
