Welcome to the Village of Nash!

I've made it to Nashville, and the last full day of driving. Tomorrow brings me to my destination, Bluefield Virginia. We have some storage units rented along with a couple hired hands to get the stuff into the units.

I met up with my friend Dave Price today, who lives here in Nashville. He took me out to BBQ and a few bars in downtown. I was blown away by all the music - it's everywhere. As we were driving down the street, we rolled the windows down and listened to all the live bands playing. A huge mix of song styles from Bluegrass to Rock and everything in between.

One of the spots (Ole Red) had a "milk & peanut butter stout". So 2 things:
1. Unlike most flavored stouts I've tried, this actually tasted like peanut butter.
2. Peanut butter is not a drinkable flavor. Just no.

I mean, I drank the whole beer because I was committed. But no, don't drink that.

It was really good to go out and see the town. I haven't really taken any breaks from the trip, so this was nice. Also, hearing a country cover of "Purple Rain" was totally unexpected and surprisingly good.

It's late locally (aroung 11pm Central) but my body is still kind of awake due to the time change. Luckily, the alcohol (even the disgusting one) should help knock me out for an early start tomorrow. I'm going to pass out, and finish out the drive tomorrow.

The happiest of all trails,
Greg
